Adorable acorn cake pops for an Autumn party or wedding

Posted on September 15, 2013.

If you’re at all intimidated by the idea of baking, assembling and decorating cake pops, these acorn cake pops would be a good place to start. For one, you don’t need any special equipment; you just roll the cake into balls by hand. Even better, just like in nature, a little imperfection is fine–welcome, even. Then you simply stick, dip and roll them. The result is a sweet little acorn cake pop that would look just right at a wedding this time of year. I hate to bid adieu to summer, but with the crisp temperatures and frenzied nut-collecting by the squirrels in my backyard, I can’t deny that autumn is here. We might as well celebrate it.
